Description
A series of five outline drawings of classic architectural columns, their bases, mouldings and crowns. Each labelled with the style of classic architecture, including: Tuscan, Doric, Ionic, Corinthian and Composite. A sixth image is of brown wash, with four studies of mouldings and their cross sections. Each piece completed separately and mounted together on board. Label at bottom reads "FOR ART MR. CERTE, GROUP I / (1898.)", stamp beneath this reads: "WORK ACCEPTED FOR CERTIFICATE". Further label to the right identifies artist. Mounted into a cream aperture.
